💥 2025/26 Registration now open! 💥
At each Club Night, we generally run the following events:
25m, 50m & 100m freestyle
25m, 50m & 100m breaststroke
25m, 50m & 100m backstroke
25m, 50m & 100m butterfly
New swimmers may only enter the 25m events. Once you have recorded a 25m time faster than the progression time listed in the table below, you may then choose to enter the 50m event for that stroke at the next club night. Once you have recorded a 50m time faster than the progression time, you may then choose to enter the 100m event for that stroke at the following club night.
Progression to the longer distance is optional, and swimmers may choose to continue swimming the shorter distance if they prefer to do so.
Your child’s times for each event can be found in the Swim Club Connect app under the Results tab (choose 'Swimmer Results' and select the swimmer’s name).
The Recorder will post on the Swim Club Chat page on Facebook the swimmers who reached the progression times at the last Club Night and are able to move up a distance. If you are unsure, just enter in the events you think are correct. If you enter your swimmer in a distance they have not reached the progression time for, the Recorder may change that entry to the shorter distance prior to club night.
Example: At his first club night, Harry swims 25m freestyle in 24.37s (faster than the 26s break time), and 25m backstroke in 32.35s (slower than the 29s break time). He may now choose to enter the 50m freestyle at the next club night, but he will need to continue entering the 25m backstroke until he records a time faster than 29s.
