About the club
About the club
WWSC was started informally in around 1957, when swimming races were held in the Tidal Pool at Woy Woy. The club was then officially established in February 1959. As a club, the Woy Woy "Pirates" pride ourselves on our longevity and an appreciation of our unique local history.
We encourage and support swimmers of all ages, from younger children competing at club night through to young adults aiming to qualify for international events such as World Championships and Olympic Games. We are proudly affiliated with Swimming Australia, Swimming NSW, and Coast and Valley Swimming Association.

The WWSC Committee is made up of volunteer parents and club supporters. The committee manages club membership, administration, finances, uniforms, communications, sponsorship, and grievance procedures, as well as organising and running our club nights and interclub meets. Together, the committee is always working to support our swimmers and ensure all our members get the most out of their swim club experience.
Committee membership is open to any adult financial member (including 'dry' members) or life member. If you have any questions about joining the committee or would like to lend a hand, please get it touch!
